Mobile shopping to drive surge in holiday e-commerce, analysts say

More consumers are expected to turn to mobile devices for their holiday shopping this year, a trend that could drive a double-digit increase in retail sales this season, analysts say. Doug Anmuth of JPMorgan Chase says shopping on mobile devices will account for 12% of e-commerce sales this season as more retailers turn to social-networking sites such as Facebook to engage consumers.
