N.C. fair, petting farm sued over outbreak of E. coli

Attorney Bill Marler filed suit in Cleveland County, N.C., against a local fair and petting zoo involved in an E. coli outbreak that sickened 106 people and killed one child earlier this year. A fair representative noted hand-washing stations were available and signs throughout the fair reminded visitors to wash their hands, but Marler believes further steps are needed to prevent future outbreaks.
