TSA will increase the number of bomb-sniffing dogs for screenings

The Transportation Security Administration will increase the number of bomb-sniffing canine units it employs in 2013, thanks in part to a research opportunity funded by the Department of Homeland Security. TSA Administrator John Pistole described the agency's plans to increase efficiency by including more canine teams in a letter earlier this month.
