"House of Concrete" built to never move

More than 100 steel-reinforced concrete pilings put 26 feet into the ground with placed footings anchor a 7,800-square-foot home in Sarasota, Fla. The owners consulted with an engineer prior to construction, and while Sarasota isn't known for being hit by hurricanes, the engineer suggested the owners consider epic disasters -- thus the extensive use of placed concrete and reinforced steel. "It is built in such a way that it will never move," said Stan Williams, owner of the home.
