Programmatic buying of advertising is maturing such that real-time bidding of digital display should make up 29% of the total digital ad spend by 2017, topping $9 billion, per eMarketer. That's up from an estimated 19%, or $3.4 billion, this year. Marketers and publishers alike are embracing real-time bidding because of its efficiency and quality.
