Report: 19 states are lauded for preparing students for college, career

Nineteen states nationwide, including Michigan, are on the path to preparing high-school students for college and career, according to Achieve, which collaborated with the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers to develop college- and career-readiness benchmarks. Michigan is the only state using both the ACT and WorkKeys tests, with Alabama scheduled to start using both tests in 2015.
