Rural Ariz. districts collaborate to align curriculum, share resources

Educators from multiple districts in Arizona are collaborating to create a smoother transition from eighth to ninth grade and to better share resources, such as substitute teachers and community partners. Meetings among educators who teach International Baccalaureate classes have focused on the creation of an academic pathway for next year's new high-school students. A multidistrict task force is working to align math instruction across all grades with the Common Core State Standards.
