S.D. students to discuss modern-day issues with political leaders

The Next Generation program aims to get students from different schools in the Groton, S.D., area talking about today's issues, such as gun control, college tuition and more, and inspire them to take action. The program's monthly meetings will bring together students and federal, state and local political leaders. The program "may take them far away from here. It may keep them right here at home doing exciting things to make a difference," said former legislator Stephanie Herseth Sandlin.
