Should students weigh college plans when posting online?

About half of the high-school students who responded to a recent survey said they were not concerned about college-admissions personnel checking their social media activity. This comes as 30% of admissions personnel report looking up an applicant on Google or on a social media site, according to Kaplan Test Prep research. It's unclear, however, how much the online information counts in the decision-making process because many schools do not have formal policies about using such information in their admissions decisions.
