Stihl executive gives instructions on chainsaw safety at Mich. school

Stihl national service manager Randy Scully instructed 16 FFA students at Alcona Community School in Lincoln, Mich., on how to use chainsaws safely, according to this article. He advised them to read the owner's manual and wear protective gear such as fiber-filled chaps, which can stop the machine on contact. Scully also advised students to operate chainsaws from the side of the body and maintain the equipment's chain and blade.
