Embryonic stem cell research still crucial, researcher says

Shinya Yamanaka, a Japanese scientist who helped produce induced Pluripotent Stem from human skin cells, says scientists should continue research with embryonic stem cells because it will take a long time to attest the safety of skin-derived stem cells in research on monkey cells. "Further research must be done in order to avoid the misuse of reproductive cells," he said.
