Brazil's economy set to expand 6.1% next year, bank says

Rising exports, increased investment and strong domestic demand will drive Brazil's economy to 6.1% growth in 2010, said Banco Bradesco, the nation's second-biggest bank by market value. Octavio de Barros, the bank's chief economist, said Brazil's exports will benefit from purchasing by emerging countries, particularly China. Brazil is expected to post 0.5% growth in GDP this year.
