APRNs involved in growing share of Medicare Part B charges

The involvement of advanced practice registered nurses in Medicare Part B charges increased from 1.6% in 2009 to 1.8% in 2010, a report from the ANA's Department of Practice and Policy found. The report revealed that approved charges for APRNs who directly billed Medicare carriers fee-for-service grew 13.8% in 2010 over 2009.
