Analysts consider lukewarm response to Windows 8

Microsoft's new Windows 8 operating system is not as hot with consumers as earlier versions of the company's products, according to analysts, who note that early sales are lagging those of previous iterations, including Windows 7. Charles King, principal analyst for Pund-IT, thinks the issue is tied to the new user interface -- which represents the first change to the UI in more than 20 years -- adding that consumers simply need time to adjust.
