National Board Certification improved teaching, educators say

Teachers in a Wisconsin school district say that earning National Board Certification has helped them deliver more effective lessons for their students. In Racine, a National Board Certified physical-education teacher said the application process helped him discover ways he could better explain to students how to perform specific gym exercises. A music teacher reworked an ineffective lesson with more success, also using tools she learned through the certification process.
