Comet ISON shining less brightly as it nears sun

The comet ISON appears to be dimming as it gets closer to the sun, observers say. NASA's Comet ISON Observing Campaign noted in its online update Monday that the comet's core may be "completely disrupted, releasing an enormous volume of dust." Many hope ISON will be visible to the naked eye, like Halley's or Hale-Bopp, but it may be days before the comet's fate is revealed.
