N.Y. considers institutional changes following hepatitis scare

New York State Health Commissioner Richard Daines is considering changes to improve communication and the timelines for infectious diseases, following the Dr. Harvey Finkelstein case. Daines will appoint an expert to examine how far back the state should go when notifying patients of an infectious disease and has already established an internal team to ensure investigations do not get bogged down.
