Calif. principal pushes for online access through ballot measure

David Haglund, a principal of a public virtual school, has proposed a statewide referendum he says would boost students' ability to benefit from online education. The measure would allow students to enroll in any online program in the state no matter where they live. While Haglund sees it as something to help students, others fear it will lead to more tax dollars funding private virtual schools.
