Column: Lawmaker says behavior detection could lead to profiling

Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, D-Miss., is pressing the Transportation Security Administration to end its behavior detection program, writes Joe Davidson. In a letter this month to TSA Administrator John Pistole, Thompson wrote that the Screening of Passengers by Observation Technique program could lead to "legally impermissible racial profiling." The TSA has not yet responded to the letter.
