Mobile helps boost online holiday sales numbers

Online retailers didn't have to wait for Cyber Monday to see sharp gains, with sales surging 39% from last year on Thanksgiving Day, according to Coremetrics retail data from IBM. And mobile users contributed strongly to the results, with shopping and browsing via the devices up 15.2% from last year, while purchases rose 11.09%. Black Friday's figures were similarly upbeat for mobile.
