Poll: Americans' actual and ideal weights are increasing

American men and women now weigh an average of 20 pounds more than they did in 1990, a Gallup poll showed. Researchers also found that the self-professed ideal weight increased to 196 pounds for men and 138 pounds for women, compared with 180 pounds and 129 pounds in 1991.
