Retailers leverage mobile for more timely sales

Mobile payment is letting users pre-pay for or order items they don't have time to purchase any other way. PayPal's Wallet, coming next year, is one solution, but big retailers are finding mobile ways to deliver what consumers want in more timely and convenient ways. "Customers are going to spend more but shop less," says Sears division Vice President Tom Aiello, noting that "we have seen people use mobile phones when electricity was out to order generators in an ice storm or an air conditioner during a heat wave in New York City."
