Calif. school puts fun twist on STEM education

Students at the new Santa Monica, Calif., PlayMaker school are embarking on an adventure in learning as part of a pilot project aimed at infusing science, technology, engineering and math education with games, exploration and hands-on learning. The idea is that by making the curriculum essentially a series of puzzles and projects, students can learn important math and science skills more effectively than in a traditional lecture-based classroom setting.
