To help fourth-graders learn necessary math skills and have a little fun in the process, teachers at three Nashua, N.H., elementary schools obtained a grant to help supplement their math curriculum. The grant funded the Ongoing Assessment Program, under which teachers have learned new instructional methods and obtained objects, such as special dice, for math lessons. "I think they see it as fun, and it gives them confidence," teacher Amy Seo said. "Fourth grade is really too early for a student to think they're bad at math."
