Legislators Disagree On Funding For Disabled Students

The lead Congressional conferees working on the final draft of President Bush's education plan have reached an agreement on student testing and school accountability but continue to disagree over funding for the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, which is geared to help schools face the costs of educating children with disabilities. A final vote on items of disagreement is scheduled for Nov. 30.
