Illinois governor presses school snack ban

The governor of Illinois asked the Illinois State Board of Education to prohibit certain snack foods in the state's schools in an effort to promote better eating habits. Critics say most snacks are consumed in the home, not schools, adding that the plan does not address relaxed physical education requirements in school districts around the state.
