New Hampshire to offer free vaccine to fight cervical cancer

New Hampshire plans to offer the new vaccine against human papillomavirus free to all girls ages 11 through 18, becoming the first state to do so. The vaccine, approved by the FDA in June, prevents infection from some strains of HPV that can cause cervical cancer and genital warts. "We cannot overstate the huge breakthrough in this vaccine," said the state public health director.
