New York Fed to name Goldman Sachs economist to key post

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is expected to name William Dudley, one of Wall Street's better-known economists, as executive vice president for markets. The appointment would make Dudley, currently an advisory director of Goldman Sachs & Co., the Fed's point person during financial crisis.
