Study: Common chemotherapy drugs do more harm than good

Some chemotherapy drugs can cause long-term brain damage by killing healthy brain cells, New York researchers report. The study found the drugs were more toxic to brain cells than to cancer cells, and in animal tests, cells continued to die for six weeks after treatment.
