HHS urged to align EHR meaningful use criteria with P4P reporting rules

The HHS has received comments asking for its final rule for the 2010 Medicare physician fee schedule to align the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative's reporting criteria with the Medicare/Medicaid electronic health record meaningful use incentive programs. The agency responded that "since meaningful use criteria has not yet been finalized, this comment is currently beyond the scope of this final rule."
