Middle-school educator is Illinois CEC teacher of the year

Middle-school educator Beth Bobel was named teacher of the year by the Illinois Council for Exceptional Children, which also elected her as its president. "She's a very dedicated employee, and she cares a great deal about the students that she serves," said the director of special education in the district where Bobel teaches. Bobel will represent Illinois as a candidate for CEC's national educator of the year award, which will be given at its conference in the spring.
