New York seeks regulatory changes to fight auto-injury fraud

Insurance trade associations are lauding the proposal by New York Insurance Department Superintendent James Wrynn that would revise the state's no-fault system to curb fraudulent auto-injury claims. The state's insured motorists are losing $1.2 million daily to auto-injury fraud, said Paul Magaril, regional manager for PCI.
