Tech trends worry federal IT officers

Mobile tech, unstructured information and cloud computing are among the top security concerns for senior-level IT executives at federal agencies, a survey finds. Jolie O'Dell asks whether these fears are proportional to the risks these technologies carry. O'Dell notes that government chief information officer Vivek Kundra wrote recently that "our policies lag behind new trends, causing unnecessary restrictions on the use of new technology."
