House backs monthlong delay on Medicare fee cuts

House leaders on Monday voted to approve a bill that would postpone a 23% reduction in Medicare payments to providers until Jan. 1. The Senate earlier passed the bipartisan measure. Congressional approval paves the way for President Barack Obama to sign the bill into law, while Congress seeks to find a longer-term solution.
