Justice Dept. unit scrutinizes banks' claims against borrowers

Many banks have reviewed their foreclosure procedures and are starting to resume evicting borrowers who are in default. However, questions remain about the "legal standing" of the lenders and whether they have the right to foreclose. The United States Trustee Program, which is part of the Justice Department, is looking into the veracity of claims by financial institutions against borrowers.
