Schools in Ontario, Calif., to use recycled water for landscape irrigation

The Ontario-Montclair School District in Ontario, Calif., approved land use for an underground pipeline project that would supply recycled water to Dorothy Gibson and Valley View high schools for their landscaping. The school board granted access to the Inland Empire Utility Agency to use the land at Arroyo Elementary School during the construction period. The project is a part of an initiative of municipalities to conserve water by maximizing the use of recycled water, according to Craig Misso, director of facilities planning and operations at the Ontario-Montclair School District.
