Chimpanzees use food as medicine

Researchers found that chimpanzees ingest certain plants specifically for the medicinal benefits, just like humans, including plants that are anti-tumor and anti-bacteria. Additional research reveals that goats and spider monkeys also use plants for purposes other than nutrition.
