Lawmakers promote plan linking drilling revenue to road projects

Lawmakers are touting a proposal that would direct tax revenues from expanded oil and natural gas drilling to infrastructure projects. "It makes a linkage between gas production and a method to pay for infrastructure improvements," said Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas. The House of Representatives could approve the measure before the end of the year, said Rep. John Mica, R-Fla.
