Online video ads are ready for prime time, study finds

Online video advertising is taking off in a big way, according to research from comScore Video Metrix. Websites served up 7.5 billion online video advertisements in October, reaching more than 53% of the U.S. population, with Hulu alone generating more than 1.3 billion ad impressions. Ads accounted for 14.9% of all Web videos viewed during the month, and 1.4% of the total time Americans spent viewing video online.
