Ravitch supports decision in Calif. to forgo NCLB waiver

Education historian Diane Ravitch says she supports the decision in California not to seek a waiver from No Child Left Behind, in part because of its focus on standardized testing. In this interview with National Board Certified Teacher Anthony Cody, Ravitch suggests California reform the way it funds education, and says the role of the federal government should be limited to providing funds to educate disadvantaged students and those with disabilities.
