Boardman: Amtrak is "making strides"

At a meeting of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Amtrak CEO and President Joseph Boardman said the strategic plan and organizational overhaul of the railroad is paying off. The agency recorded record ridership and revenue levels this year. "When we’re done, Amtrak will look more like a business and less like a government agency," Boardman said. "And customers will find that our system is easier to use, more convenient, timelier and more comfortable."
