BP works to end temporary ban on federal contracts

BP is working to lift a temporary ban on federal contracts imposed by the Environmental Protection Agency because of the company's "lack of business integrity" regarding the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. BP said it remains in contact with the EPA and has submitted a document stating its responsibility and providing answers posed by the agency. The ban stands until BP can show "present responsibility" to do business with the U.S. government.
