Pilot turns to instruction, hopes to remedy pilot shortage

A pilot for more than 25 years, Ron DenOuden has turned to teaching introductory flight classes in the hope of inspiring new pilots with the thrill of flying. With a predicted pilot shortage on the horizon, the push is part of an initiative by AOPA to get more people interested in aviation.
