Why don't companies hire more military veterans?

When given the choice between a college graduate and a military veteran, companies almost always go with the college grad, Tim Sackett writes. The problem may be that hiring managers are intimidated by former soldiers, or that they are more familiar with the college experience than they are with the military experience. To overcome an organization's aversion to former service members, force managers to confront their stereotypes with questions about hiring vets, Sackett writes.
