Dupont subsidiary, Syngenta settle patent dispute

The settlement between Pioneer Hi-Bred International and Syngenta brings a close to the suit filed in 2002 that found Syngenta suing Pioneer for using its patent for inserting genes into corn. Financial details of the settlement were not released, but Pioneer will license the technology from Syngenta and will drop claims Syngenta acquired seed technology from Pioneer improperly.
