Trans States parent plans start-up carrier, will buy more RJs

The parent of Trans States Airlines is applying for FAA certification for a new startup airline that will fly regional jets. The airline may start flying with up to 10 planes next summer. Trans States president Rick Leach said he is considering purchasing new Bombardier regional jets. Trans States flies planes built by Embraer.
