California leads nation in job creation from stimulus

California is leading the country in job creation under the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, according to a recent report by the federal government. Most of the new jobs have been in conventional infrastructure projects -- not in renewable energy or clean technology, as the Obama administration projected. The state has created 110,000 new jobs with stimulus funds.
