Grant requests rise as more teachers seek help with enhanced lessons

More teachers in Florida are turning to educational foundations to cover the costs of hands-on class projects, field trips and classroom resources. One foundation in Manatee saw grant requests from teachers rise by 46% this year, with teachers seeking money for books, software, microscopes and other equipment left out of regular funding.
