Online shoppers were busy over Thanksgiving weekend

Many consumers hopped online over Thanksgiving weekend to do some holiday shopping, but whether they will continue to spend throughout the holiday season remains to be seen. Online shoppers spent about $595 million on Black Friday, according to comScore. "Indications are that the retailers are going to be even more aggressive with Cyber Monday, at least running promotions and marketing them," said Scott Silverman, executive director of Shop.org.
