Should you switch to Google Apps?

Google Apps, the company's challenge to Microsoft's office-productivity applications, costs at least a third less than similar Microsoft products and has proved to be reliable, Robert L. Scheier writes. Yet the products have skimpy technical support, the word processor and spreadsheet programs don't contain some of the features offered by Microsoft products, and integrating the programs with older software promises to be a challenge, Scheier adds.
